Hernandez Podiatry is a family-owned and operated full-service podiatry practice. Our family has been treating your family in the Bay Shore area since 1965. Founded by Dr. Anthony Hernandez (born in 1928) he was a fixture in Brentwood starting in 1953 with Brent Pine Pharmacy and a member of the original Brentwood Legion Ambulance as well as launching the podiatry practice. In addition to managing this full-time practice, he was a teaching professional at the nearby College of Podiatric Medicine, in the department of surgery. Many methods developed during his tenue are still taught to this day and are instrumental in advancing a variety of skills among podiatrists throughout the nation.

Dr. Peter Hernandez is no stranger to Podiatry and comes from a long line of well-respected podiatrists with former practice partner brother William and of course father Anthony – all very well-known in the community. The office was originally in Brentwood in 1965 and was moved to downtown Bay Shore in the late 90s.

Dr. Peter Hernandez is a 1982 Graduate of the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He completed his residency in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine and Affiliated Hospitals in 1984. 

A lifelong resident of Bay Shore, Long Island, NY, Dr. Hernandez has been in private practice in Suffolk County since 1984. He is affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip as well as South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore. He is a board certified by the American Board of Foot & Ankle Surgery.
